Historic stately home launches artisan workshops

Wolterton Park, an 18th century Palladian Hall and 500-acre estate in North Norfolk built by Horatio Walpole, brother of Britain’s first Prime Minister Robert Walpole, has introduced a series of brand-new artisan workshops.

Running from 10.00am – 1.00pm, the workshops are:

·       17th April (SOLD OUT!) - Spring handtied bouquet workshop

·       16th May - Spring handtied bouquet workshop, £120 per person – create your own hand tied bouquet brimming with beautiful spring florals with Norfolk florist Harriet Aitkin

·       22nd May – Patisserie workshop, £125 per person – explore sweet secrets covering a host of patisserie skills run by classically trained chef Rebecca from Hestia Patisserie

·       12th September - Gardening for beginners, £95 per person – learn how to grow your own vegetables and flowers, taking inspiration from Wolterton Park’s walled garden – the largest in East Anglia – and our expert gardener Kat Lanham.

The unique experiences include:

·       A warm Wolterton welcome with coffee and cake in our beautiful 18th Century Georgian Hall

·       Hearing top tips from expert tutors and taking home your bouquet / Patisserie / gardening seeds/produce

·       A glass of fizz or a special Wolterton gift

·       A tour of the State Rooms afterwards.

Featured in Tatler’s Travel Guide – The 101 Best Places To Stay In The World – and on the front page of House and Garden for its impressive restoration transformation, Wolterton Park was purchased by the Ellis family in October 2023. The family are looking to enhance the hidden gem’s offering to appeal to local people as well as its existing national and international audiences.

Martin Wickham from Wolterton Park says the workshops mean more people can view the stunning stately home and grounds than ever before whilst enjoying a fun and relaxing morning:
